As for the lame excuse “the show kills nearly everyone”… you must be watching a different show because the body count isn’t even nearly half as high as the character list, so try again. And out of the 12 queer women to appear on the show, only 2 out of 8 white was killed (Charlotte & Sara), and 2 out of 2 African American women were killed (Maya & Shana). Ex-fcking-cuse me, I didn’t know straight white men were representation for me, how DARE I actually care about queer African American women like myself being killed off. Got damn, thank you so much for missing the point 100% If you could keep your “straight white men matter too” bs off my wlwoc post, that’d be great :) Literally half the characters aren’t dead but ok lol
I can only name 2 WOC lesbians who got their happy ending, Santana and Bette, both paired with WHITE women. It’s hard enough just to find WOC representation, nearly impossible to find it with WOC lgbt. I can easily name 20 white lesbians who got their happy ending smh WOC have always had it shitty, the stereotypical “troublemaker”, the “token black”, the disposable “you can die first”. Look at PLL… they murdered Maya, killed Shana, and torture Emily nonstop. I watched white lesbians get happy endings since 2005, it’s 2016 and I’ve NEVER seen a relationship with 2 WOC end “they lived happily ever after”.
